Old Belvedere Touch Rugby
Touch Rugby at Old Belvedere is a highly inclusive sport that includes men’s, women’s, and mixed touch rugby in an environment catering for levels, ranging from novices to international players.
Sessions take place at 7pm on Mondays and are open to all adult players. Coaching for all levels is available and any beginners will be shown the rules and integrated into sessions at a level they are comfortable with.
Competitions
Old Belvedere has teams in both divisions of the national touch league (Elite/Social) which is a series of 5 one-day events spread across Ireland – one of these hosted by Old Belvedere.
Beyond that, we play in numerous single-day blitzes, social tournaments and regularly travel abroad to international tournaments, including the Touch Barcelona club competition which we won in 2018.
International Touch Rugby
Old Belvedere has had numerous players represent Ireland at men’s, women’s and mixed divisions, from open to 40s age categories. In 2018 we had 17 players involved in the televised European Championships, including 6 on the Mixed 30s team who won Gold.
